September 17, 2000: Canada 0, USA 6
Lori Harrigan threw the first no-hitter in Olympic history for Team USA in the first game of the 2000 Olympics. She received plenty of offensive support from her teammates. Slugging homeruns for Team USA were Crystal Bustos, Jennifer Brundage and Dot Richardson.

September 18, 2000: Cuba 0, USA 3
Danielle Henderson allowed only 2 hits while working 5 innings, and Christa Williams picked up the save as Team USA improved to 2-0 in the Olympic Games. Crystal Bustos hit her 2nd and 3rd homeruns of the round-robin, while Sheila Douty added her first.

September 19, 2000: Japan 2, USA 1 (11 innings)
Christa Williams and Michelle Smith combined to allow only 6 hits, but Team USA couldn't take advantage of opportunities, stranding 20 runners over 11 innings. In the 11th inning, Japan moved 2 runs across the plate on 3 Team USA errors. Team USA scratched 1 across the plate in the bottom of the inning, leaving a runner at third to end the game.

September 20, 2000: China 2, USA 0 (14 innings)
The USA bats failed to produce for a second night in a row as Team USA fell to China in a marathon 14 inning game. After pitching 6 innings the previous night, Michele Smith went the distance for Team USA, striking out 19 batters, allowing only 2 hits and no earned runs. Stacy Nuveman, Leah O'Brien-Amico, and Jennifer Brundage produced the only hits for Team USA.

September 21, 2000: Australia 2, USA 1 (13 innings)
Team USA finally pushed a run across the plate in extra innings, but it wasn't enough as Australia hit a two-out, two-run homerun in the bottom of the 13th inning. In the top of the final inning, Christie Ambrosi delivered an RBI single down the left field line. But in an eerie case of deja-vue, Australia's Peta Edebone stroked a homerun in the bottom of the inning with the international tie-breaker in effect. Team USA pitcher Lisa Fernandez pitched a two-hitter, striking out 25 of the 40 batters she faced.

September 22, 2000: New Zealand 0, USA 2
The USA bats started to come alive today with Jennifer Brundage stroking half of Team USA's six hits, including a solo homerun in the second inning. Dot Richardson celebrated her birthday by driving in the other USA run. Lori Harrigan struck out eight batters in 5-1/3 innings of work for Team USA, while Christa Williams picked up the save.

September 23, 2000: Italy 0, USA 6
Lisa Fernandez and Christa Williams combined for a 1-hit shutout to help lead Team USA to a 6-0 victory over Italy. Team USA banged out 5 hits, including a two-run homerun from Fernandez and a two-RBI single from Leah O'Brien-Amico. Sheila Douty and Crystal Bustos scored on a wild pitch and a throwing error respectively to round out the scoring.

September 25, 2000: China 0, USA 3 (10 innings)
With 1 out, Stacy Nuveman blasted a homerun just inside the left foul pole in the bottom of the 10th inning to score both Jennifer Brundage and Sheila Douty as Team USA defeated China 3-0. It was the first victory for the US in extra inning games. Michele Smith pitched strongly, scattering 5 hits. Christa Williams picked up the win, allowing no hits in relief.

September 25, 2000: Australia 0, USA 1
In the bottom of the fifth inning with 2 outs and runners on first and second, Dot Richardson delivered her second hit of the game, driving in the winning run for Team USA as they held on to beat Australia 1-0. Lisa Fernandez went the distance, recording 13 strikeouts and only allowing 1 hit.

September 26, 2000: Japan 1, USA 2 (8 innings)
Japan struck first, but Team USA struck last. Lisa Fernandez pitched a 3-hit complete game to help the US successfully defend their gold medal. In the top of the fourth inning, Japan scored on a line shot over the centerfield fence by Utsugi Reika. But the US struck back in the bottom of the fifth, as Stacy Nuveman's single to the right centerfield gap scored Michele Smith from first base. After holding Japan in the first extra inning, Stacy Nuveman drew a walk. With one out, Dot Richardson drilled a shot down the right line that was ruled foul. She was then walked, setting up Laura Berg's heroics. Berg delivered a line shot to left field. As leftfielder Koseki Shiori fell backwards, the ball popped loose from the glove, allowing Jennifer McFalls (running for Nuveman) to score for the win.
